Suits V8 Mustangs 1967 - 1970 with Big Block engines, 1970 with 302, 351w or 351c engines, or 1967 - 70 with 289-351w with the hoses on opposite sides of the radiator. Watch out for fan clearance, as these are a thicker radiator. We stock fan spacers in 1.5" and 2.25" lengths, if required. This radiator was designed to be a direct fit OE style radiator that will mount into your Mustang using the factory mounting points without any fabrication or extra drilling needed. Aluminium construction and two rows of 1-1/4 tubes aids in better heat dissipation so that your classic Mustang can stay running nice and cool on the hottest of days. The top and bottom tanks are styled like the original tanks and feature an OEM style brass petcock that allows for easy draining of the coolant. This radiator also features an integrated transmission cooler for Mustangs with an automatic transmission. The idea of creating a radiator from aluminum was based on using more tubes that were wider and lowering the height of the fins.

This would eliminate dead space between the tubes. The standard aluminum radiator tube width is 1, so a typical 2-row aluminum radiator has a 2 tube-to-fin contact area per row. Compared to the typical 4-row copper radiators which had a 1.7 tube-to-fin contact area. So ACP decided to kick it up a notch by making the tubes in their 2-row MaxCore radiator 1-1/4 wide creating a 2-1/2 tube-to-fin contact area.
